Train Graffiti - Upstate NY by jackthetab
Train Graffiti - Upstate NY
Upstate NY train graffiti. This was found on Route 5 between Amsterdam and Schenectady.
Too bad it was snowing and could have made for a clearer photograph.

Truck accident #2 - Colonie NY by jackthetab
Truck accident #2 - Colonie NY
A bread truck ran off the road, collided with three trees. Interestingly enough, it was right in front of a collision center, though, I think this truck may be beyond repair? The driver, shaken, but not seriously hurt.

Birth After Death by jackthetab
Birth After Death
Adobe and one original digital photograph.

Birth after death. The spirits tend to one dying soul, replacing with a new replenished soul. The cycle of life, neverending, never ceasing but never the same.

Thank you for adding my image (below) to your folders. I am truly honored that you found my work worthy of note.

If you ever have a few minutes and you'd like to see more of my work (some of which is not in my DA galleries), I invite you to visit website ( www.fawlsphoto.com ) or my Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/fawlsphoto ). And if you like what you see there, I always appreciate “Likes”. If not, I fully understand.

Either way, thanks for the “fav” and I hope you have a good rest of the week. :)

I did take a few minutes to browse some of your works...I love it! I'll definitely be back to look at more in the near future. :)

I have always loved taking pictures of trains.
This was taken some time ago - CSX Upstate New York
There are a ton more, but never uploaded.
Maybe I should start working on that.

Back in the day, I used to record the sound of trains going by onto my mini disc recorder.
There are a ton of those too. Haha!

Anyways, thanks for the nice e-mail

Yea! its Friday. Enjoy the weekend!

i'd love to see those shots. Consider adding a folder to your gallery just for your train shots. :)

I love industrial settings. I used to manage production projects and I miss the whole industrial thing about being down on a production floor or in machine shops, or, or, or...

Trains are a relatively new subject for me. For the next ?? months I'll be living near some fairly heavily used railroad tracks, so I suspect I'll be shooting trains a lot more than I have in the past. I am finding they are amazingly difficult to shoot in an "interesting" way. I tend to look for "natural" images and have had a hard time bringing myself to "over process" (my term) my images into the HD mode.

The two train shots I recently posted were a revelation to me - the "over processed" look actually brought out the colors and made the images "pop" a little. sorta highlighted the fact that I've fallen into a bit of a rut in my "art". :)  Of course, now I'll probably end up overusing it on everything. :D

And yes, it is wonderful that it's Friday! ;)

I also have a thing for taking photographs of abandoned buildings.

The industrial look certainly has a big appeal to me as well. My friend
who is an antique dealer has been selling a lot of the industrial look as well.
There is a greater and broader appeal these days.

Anyways, I like your page enough to "like" your Facebook page :-)
